Key Responsibilities
- Spearhead the comprehensive proposal development process, including research, writing, editing, and formatting proposals related to energy efficiency services and sustainability consulting.
- Customize each proposal to meet specific client requirements, ensuring alignment with RFP guidelines and industry benchmarks.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams (engineering, sales, finance, and legal) to compile the necessary information for each proposal, guaranteeing an accurate portrayal of our capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory, client, and industry standards, including adherence to local, state, and federal sustainability laws.
- Manage multiple proposals concurrently, tracking deadlines and coordinating inputs from various stakeholders to ensure timely submissions.
- Review and refine content for clarity, grammar, and consistency, producing polished documents ready for client presentation.
- Conduct market and client research to develop persuasive narratives that emphasize our competitive advantages.
- Engage in post-submission debrief sessions to collect feedback, recognize areas for enhancement, and improve proposal methodologies for future opportunities.
Required Skills
- Familiarity with energy efficiency, sustainability, and regulatory compliance services is preferred.
- Outstanding writing, editing, and proofreading abilities.
- Robust research and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in transforming complex technical information into clear and engaging narratives.
- Experience in managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong interpersonal and communication capabilities for effective collaboration with internal teams and clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in proposal writing, ideally within the energy, sustainability, or consulting sectors.
